Artists are using their creativity in efforts to get guns off the street. The Knight Campus Art Gallery will present “One Gun Gone” from Sept. 13 to Oct. 12 with a reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13. The gallery will showcase art made from one gun purchased legally and taken off the street. Profits from sold art pieces will be used to conduct a gun buyback event in coordination with the Rhode Island State Police and Providence Police next spring or summer.
The gallery is located in Room 3500, on the third floor in the round building, and hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Thursday; noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
