Updated CCRI media library

This past spring CCRI upgraded from the CCRI Medial Library to a new and improved media library called Medial.
What is Medial: Imagine a video and audio streaming system that flawlessly works behind the scenes, allowing you to create, manage, deliver and view all your content within an all-inclusive turnkey solution. Medial is a streaming video server where you can store your videos and also link to your videos through Blackboard as well as embed videos into your personal CCRI webpage. If you lecture capture your lectures in the classroom, TechSmith Relay automatically uploads your captures to Medial.
To log into your Medial account with your domain username and password, click here.
What will happen to the CCRI Media Library: If you have videos stored in the CCRI Media Library, you will need to download your videos to your computer or storage device by Jan. 5. The CCRI media library server will no longer be available after this date. If you’re not sure if you have videos stored in the CCRI Medial Library, log into your account.
If you have copies of your video files on your computer and/or a storage device, you do not have to download the files from the CCRI medial library, but you will want to upload said files to Medial.
Note: If you have video files stored in the CCRI Media Library that are linked to your Blackboard courses, you will have to re-link the files within your Blackboard courses after you have uploaded the files to Medial. Please see the below links for step-by-step directions.
If any of your videos are linked to the old Stream 1 server, please contact us for further, in-detail instructions, as this server will also become unavailable on Jan. 5. Example of a Stream 1 video link: mms://stream1.ccri.edu/PTherapy/MCP-extension.wmv
For faculty who have already moved their files from the CCRI Medial Library to Medial and have created links within your Blackboard courses, you do not have to do anything more.
If you would like to set up a one-on-one consultation for assistance with any or all of the above procedures, or to learn more about Medial please contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@ccri.edu or 825-1112.
