CCRI faculty and staff were called on to talk about the success of our Credit for Prior Learning program in a highly-attended national forum this month. Doug Flor, Credit for Prior Learning interim program director, Cecile Roberti, associate professor and Business Administration department chair, and Lisa Robichaud, Credit for Prior Learning coordinator, presented information for the Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) Learning Network Community of Practice. The Learning Network offers resources for TAACCCT grantees nationwide.
The program was built as part of a TAACCCT grant, and since CCRI officially adopted Credit for Prior Learning in fall 2016 it has helped students graduate more quickly. Other faculty involved in the success of CCRI’s Credit for Prior Learning program are Beth Anish, Maria Coclin, Kevin Crawford, Candice Grist, Cheri Markward, Basile Pantoutsopoulos, Elizabeth Reed, Christopher Thibeault and Gina Santoro.
