Two health programs at CCRI, Radiography and Therapeutic Massage, recently received reaccreditation from their respective accrediting commissions.
In July, the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology awarded a three-year reaccreditation to the college’s Radiography associate degree program. JCERT is the only agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation for the accreditation of traditional and distance delivery educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance and medical dosimetry. Specialized accreditation awarded offers institutions significant value by providing peer evaluation and by assuring the public of quality professional education in the radiologic sciences.
In late spring, the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation reaccredited the college’s Therapeutic Massage programs for seven years. COMTA offers accreditation to schools and programs offering training in the massage therapy, bodywork, esthetics and skin care professions. The accreditation process acknowledges schools and programs for achieving high quality, performance and integrity. CCRI’s program offers both certificate and an associate degree tracks, and our students have achieved 100 percent pass rate for first-time test takers on the national certification and MBlex examination for the past decade.
