‘Breaking Out of the Man Box’ presentation

Author, educator and activist Tony Porter presents his challenge to traditional manhood and male socialization in “Breaking Out of the Man Box” at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, in Room 1336 at the Flanagan Campus in Lincoln. Porter will discuss how the “Man Box” perpetrates sexism and inequality, and how embracing and promoting a healthy, respectful manhood can prevent dating violence, sexual assault and bullying. The presentation is sponsored by the Nonviolence Club, the CCRI Gender Equity Initiative and Men Taking Responsibility (MenTR) group.
