Dean Peter Woodberry’s retirement celebration on Dec. 16 at Cranston Country Club raised more than $4,000 to help fund a scholarship and bench that will be dedicated in his name at the Knight Campus this spring.

The 2017 Peter Woodberry Award was made possible by generous donations from his colleagues and friends and will be awarded to female CCRI students in STEM programs of study including science, engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, and computer studies and information processing.

Those in attendance enjoyed the incredible sounds of the CCRI Chamber Singers under the direction of Dr. Joseph Amante. The retirement committee would like to thank Professor Amante, Associate Professor Yvonne Leonard and Assistant Professor Christopher Thibeault, as well as the CCRI Foundation for their assistance planning this event.
